Brothers Injured in Tampa Car Accidents Five Years Apart

A wreck left a 24-year-old Pinellas County man struggling to survive serious head injuries, five years after his brother was injured in a similar Tampa car accident.

Michael Graziano was riding in a speeding 1994 Volvo that rear-ended a dump truck while trying to pass it on Ulmerton Road in Largo around 3 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012.

The wreck left Michael Graziano in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg and the Volvo driver, Cameron Richard Bosley, 24, in fair condition. The dump truck driver wasn’t injured, and no charges have been filed.

A 2007 Tampa car accident inflicted similar injuries on Michael Graziano’s brother, John, when he was riding in a car being driven by Nick Bollea, the son of wrestler Hulk Hogan.

John Graziano was also taken to Bayfront Medical Center immediately after the wreck. He returned home only after eight months of hospitalization and two years of rehabilitation. His brother, mother Debra and sister Christin had been caring for him.

After the 2007 wreck, the Graziano family hired a Tampa personal injury lawyer who helped them pursue a multi-million lawsuit against the Bollea family. The case was settled in 2010.
