Teen Killed, Many Injured in Clearwater Motorcycle Accident

A Clearwater motorcycle accident resulted in the death of a local teenager and injured three last Thursday. Palm Harbor 19-year old, Shay Lydon, was driving with 18-year old Angelica Hall on Belcher Road in Clearwater when they collided with a Toyota Camry after reportedly driving through a red light.

The impact of the collision sent both passengers flying from the motorcycle. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Lydon sustained critical injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Neither passengers were wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the collision. The passengers of the Camry, 70-year old Patricia Muth and 62-year old Charles Manning, were both seriously injured in the accident at transported to Bayfront Medical Center.

The accident occurred at approximately 9:50 am and resulted in traffic on Belcher Road being closed for three hours following the accident.

Hall was a student at Palm Harbor University High School and resided in a neighborhood near Tampa and Belcher roads. Her family members have declined to speak with reporters regarding the incident.

On March 30, Lydon and Hall were involved in another accident when he drove his 1992 Geo Prism into the path of a Dodge Ram on Curlew Road. Hall sustained injuries in this accident requiring her to be transported to the hospital by helicopter. Lydon was also injured in this accident and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
